Biography of International Winner, famous pianist, Prof. Cornelia Herrmann

Since winning the 1996 Bach prize at the International Bach Competition in Leipzig at the age of 19, the youngest winner of the competition, pianist Cornelia Herrmann has developed an active international career, both as a soloist and as a chamber musician. She has been invited to perform at major concert halls in Europe, North and South America and Asia where she collaborated with international orchestras under distinguished conductors such as James Judd, Manfred Honeck, Fabio Luisi, Sir Neville Marriner, Sir Roger Norrington, Stefan Sanderling.Works by J.S.Bach form an essential part of Cornelia Herrmann's repertoire. The label CAMERATA is publishing a series of her solo recordings with music by J.S.Bach exclusively. Cornelia Herrmann's passion for chamber music is reflected in her involvement in a number of prestigous festivals. She has been invited to Loisiarte, Styriarte, Attergauer Kultursommer, Grafenegg, MDR Musiksommer, Festspiele Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and Pacific Music Festival a.o. Cornelia Herrmann teaches at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna.
